

The incident took place Saturday evening at the Spring Hill Apartments complex near Ryan and Auburn roads, north of M-59.Īccording to police, the person of interest then went to commit more crimes in other communities before he was apprehended. Information can also be reported through our Crimewatch suspected gunman in a double shooting and arson that left two people hospitalized over the weekend at a Shelby Township apartment complex was arrested Sunday morning, according to police. Anyone with information on the shooting or location of the suspect is asked to contact the Shelby Township Police Department at 586 731-2121. He is described as a black male, 6’01” tall, 200lbs. The suspect left the scene in an unknown direction, driving a Silver sedan with no listed plate. Gunshots were then heard moments later as the driver of the sedan passed that same apartment and opened fire. The investigation showed that a fire was purposely set in the hallway of the second story apartment outside one of the victim’s doors. The female is listed in stable condition while the male is listed as critical. Both victims were immediately transported to Troy Beaumont Hospital. Witness accounts showed that the driver of silver sedan had driven passed the apartment building and had fired multiple shots at several people standing outside the apartment and those standing on a second story balcony. A second victim was also found outside the building with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Officers arrived and found a male subject in a second story apartment with a gunshot wound to the back. On, at approximately 6:50pm, a 911 call was received from a female subject reporting that her apartment had been set on fire and that a male subject had also been shot.
